About A440 Piano Tuning
My name is John Barrow, I am Dorset born and raised, currently based in East Dorset. During my childhood I would regularly listen to music, as an adult I decided to take piano lessons. My interest in playing the piano soon turned towards the piano itself and how it worked.
This interest in the piano led me to the renowned, 3 year BA (Hons) course in Piano Tuning and Restoration at the Newark Piano School (part of the
Lincoln college campus). I was awarded the Graebner Crisford Prize for the most outstanding graduating student, graduating with a first class honours degree.​

My interest in this fascinating instrument continues, I receive regular mentoring and tuition from an established technician to further comprehend the complexities and uniqueness of each piano I work with.
